The Elmgreen Sixth Form is a creative, vibrant and successful place for students to study and achieve. As a school we are an ‘inclusive community’ where everybody is encouraged to achieve ‘beyond their potential’. This ethos particularly rings true for our students in The Elmgreen Sixth Form.
We offer students a broad and balanced curriculum which is carefully matched to an individual’s needs and aspirations. Students follow a number of Pathways, from our Baccalaureate Pathway, for those wishing to attend Russell Group Universities, to a Diploma Pathway which focuses on a more vocational range of qualifications leading to university, work or apprenticeships. The personal nature of our offer reflects the inclusive ideals of the school. We ensure that each student is on the right Pathway for them and is offered maximum opportunities to achieve personal goals and targets.
The Elmgreen School also believes in successful collaboration with other providers as a way of ensuring the very best educational opportunities for each student We are a member of the South London Sixth (SL6), a consortium of local schools who work together to provide comprehensive curriculum opportunities for our students.
This school has excellent facilities which are fully reflected in the Sixth Form provision, including a Sixth Form study area within our library, where students can access help from qualified staff and outstanding IT equipment. Sixth Form students also benefit from their own catering facilities, personal tutoring and specialist staff to assist with UCAS applications, whilst at the same time enjoy many opportunities to play a key role within the main school, supporting younger students in their development and learning.
We appreciate that many students who attend our Sixth Form are existing members of The Elmgreen community, however we strongly encourage students from other schools to apply. We offer a warm welcome, excellent induction and real opportunities to succeed.
The Elmgreen School is part of the SL6 collaboration of Sixth Forms (with Dunraven School and St Martin-in-the-Fields). The collaboration allows students to access wider range of subjects at partner schools so that the choice of subjects is both wide ranging and flexible.
