The School working in partnership with Harrison Catering provide a range of foods designed to ensure all our students have healthy and nutritious meals. Our catering complies fully with the Food Standards for schools.
The Restaurant offers a service before school, at break and at lunchtime. Lunch in the restaurant is a choice of hot food always accompanied by a vegetable or a range of salads from the salad bar. There is always a vegetarian option. The meal deal of a main course, pudding and fruit juice represents excellent value and is a good way for students to be ready for their afternoon lessons.
If students do not wish to have a hot meal, we run a cold food service in our café in the market square. Here students can purchase a range of salads, sandwiches, baguettes and homemade baked items as well as healthy drinks.
Both the Restaurant and Café operate on our cashless payment system. Students need to have their lunch card with them and ensure that they have sufficient funds for their purchases. Cards can be topped up using cash (coins and notes) in school or by card and PayPoint using the Parent Pay system. We encourage families to use Parent Pay so students do not have to carry large amounts of money to school.
Parents/carers can check what students are spending and eating using Parent Pay.
For families not wishing to use our excellent catering service please ensure any packed meals are healthy. Sugary drinks, energy drinks and junk food such as crisps, sweets and chocolate are not permitted in school.
