HANDS UP FOR MORE ACTION?
Do you have what it takes to be a Director of the Parent Promoters Foundation (PPF)?
The PPF is the charity run for and by local parents and carers which was originally set up in 2003 to campaign for funding to create The Elmgreen School. It’s the Foundation body of the school. Over the years, PPF members have contributed their time, energy and skills to help create and support this community’s excellent school.
The PPF has hundreds of members who support us magnificently, contributing as and when they can. Some members take a more active role however as Directors of the PPF. The Directors meet at the school 6 times a year to plan future events and initiatives and to feed into the work of the Foundation governors. There are 5 Foundation governors who work alongside the other governors to monitor, challenge and set the strategic direction of the school. The Foundation governors have an additional responsibility as guardians of the ethos.
Our AGM on 7th December is your opportunity to put yourself forward for election as a PPF Director. No experience is necessary. We particularly welcome interest from parents/carers of black or minority ethnic origin in order to help ensure that the PPF directors are reflective of the local community.
If you’re interested please call/e-mail PPF Project Manager, Kate Scrase for more information.
If you do want to stand for election as a director please note your nomination form must arrive by 5pm on Wednesday 1st December.
