‘A school at the heart of its community’
Building a sense of community is a priority for The Elmgreen School. We have forged strong links with our partner primary schools, local groups and organisations. Through our Humanities status we support a number of national events including Fairtrade Fortnight, Black History Month and Refugee Week.
The school has students and families from all over the world and as an international school, global awareness is a feature of the school. We celebrate diversity and are proud of our multi-faith, multi-ethnic, multi-lingual community. We support students who wish to study their home language to examination level or simply for their own enjoyment.
As part of our extended community activities we offer adult classes to our families and local community. Our English classes for speakers of other languages (ESOL) are enormously successful and encourage a wide range of adult users.
